REMEDY RECORDS | Overview

"Remedy Records" will be a New Kind of Record Label. (PDF Version of this page)

It will be based on the New "360 Record Deal and Motown/Hit Factory" Model.
This means, that most of the Artists Responsibilties will be handled "In-House" by the Label. (It also means that the label will share in all Artist Income revenues.) We will Sign Only a Few Select Artists based on Pure Talent and Charisma and supply them with all the Resources they need to break through all the massive clutter and competition.

We will create a recording band that utilizes the most Modern Technology to create a New Sound and approach to Recording and Live Shows never seen or heard before.

This "Super Band" will be comprised of a fluid group of players/singers that back the Artists in the Studio and even take part in live shows. The Artists Material will be drawn (At first) from the Gigland 500 Original Song Catalog and assorted Cover Songs -
All chosen and arranged specifically for the Artist.
Marketing / Promoting these Artists and their Material will be done in a variety of ways -
including Cover Song Videos and "Cover Me" Show appearances, "behind the scenes /studio videos and Concept Videos. (YouTube)

Along with Individual Artists - using these same methods, We will also create a new kind of Boy Band.

STEPS/PHASES | FUNDING

  1. Our first Label Goals are to finance ourselves through "Crowd Source Funding" making certain Investors "Co-Owners" of our Label.
  2. With this investment, we will Purchase or Rent the Musical Equiptment, pay for the players, the recording space and videos.
  3. Artist Signings and Development will be determind by the Core Label Partners and overseen by them. This will include a "Production Team" and paid "skilled musicians" to record and be part of live performances. The Goal is to create a serious Musical Space where all the creative work can be perfected.
  4. Our Main Goal is to Record and give away our VAST Original Song Catalog and generate income mainly through Live performances and Touring.
NOTE: We can Pay Back Investment in 1 or 2 performances. (eg -  2,500 seats X $20.00 = $50,000.00)

I have been working as a professional musician and entertainer for 30 some years in some of the most challenging live band situations in the country, from Los Angeles Show Bands (The Zippers, Stinger) and Studio bands (Sound City, Seinfeld Pit band) to Las Vegas Shows (Heroes of Rock-n-Roll / Country Tonight) to Broadway Shows (“HAIR”- European tour) to Disneyworld, Orlando. (I played Paul McCartney and John Lennon of the Beatles)

I have been a part of some very powerful live presentations and band situations. These acts have a common thread - they all require a higher level of talent and teamwork to come off properly. I spent 15 years (Over 10,000 performances) working hotels, lounges, casinos and showrooms in order to focus on writing and recording the 500 Song Catalog. This catalog is the crux of the plan as it is the Substance that glues all the other parts together.

Along with my Original catalog, I have honed my arranging abilities on the revamping of hundreds of cover songs in the process. I was even informally commissioned by Muzak Corporation to create a channel called the “Cover Kings” for that purpose. I went on to create The “Ultimate ShowBand” - RetroSpect with 100 remade Covers for our Shows.

As far as a vocalist and schooled musician, I began my formal training in Berklee College of Music in Boston as a Vocal/Performance Major and have been drawing on that knowledge all my life. As far as videos, I won the TOWER Records Music Video Award (National) for a video I shot in my living room. I’ve been shooting and editing videos for these songs for 2 decades now and have dozens of ideas for the shooting of the new ones.
